Music, pop culture, charts and who will listen: Forever a Popular Culture For many we wake up to music, ride in our vehicle on the way to work, school or what have you, listen to music and arrive home and listen to music. A countless number of people have music to their ear more than actual conversation. Lucky for us music comes in many different varieties. They include but are not limited to Art Music, Blues, Electronic, Country, Folk, Heavy metal, Hip hop, Jazz, Popular Music, Reggae and Rock or a particular genre. Popular Music is song, a group of individuals or type of music that is most listened to. It may be the way the music makes you feel when you hear it, the words, the artist or what ever captures society at that particular point and time. Many of us enjoy listening to more than one type of music and can appreciate greatly a sound that we are not accustomed to. The song that may make a point or statement to what ever happiness, tragedy or event that is going on in the world. Music may touch a much larger audience that even words can. Music is individual and depending on who you are you may relate to music much more that people. Music is international and created around the world. If an artist or composer is popular enough in one country, spreading the wealth so to speak may be a great idea to capitalize on ones talent. Some want what others have just because of its popularity. From yesterday moving forward to today some artists get stronger as they age while others fizzle out in a short period of time. Also, depending on what song you may love and enjoy and what particular age group you are from a song heard years ago may be more popular than then most song listened to today. The music industry works very hard and diligent on keeping music live and strong in an ever changing trade. Music categories are forever moving forward for a diverse society and gain strength as well as popularity for many cultures. My definition of music is a non-tangible idea, thought or feeling that allows one to move forward, go back in time and let you feel an infinite amount of love or passion all in oneself.
